The latest Cataclysm preview from Blizzard introduces Grim Batol, a mountain once refuge to the Wildhammers clan following the dwarven civil war of Ironforge. Located in the Twilight Highlands (of the upcoming expansion), Grim Batol is a 5-player dungeon steeped in lore, tangled between the dwarves, the Twilight’s Hammer and the Red and Black Dragonflights. Tuned for level 85 players, the dungeon lies within the cavernous ruins of the mountain sacked by the Twilight Hammer cult, now being used as a training ground for Deathwing’s minions.
I admit it.
I’ve crossed the line.
After years of being Horde-dominated and only having dabbled half-heartedly in any Alliance faction toons, I’ve finally set myself up an official, lasting, Alliance family.
One that is getting proper attention to be called a family and not just a stray spore that landed, germinated, and then was put into forever-stasis.

I honestly never expected my wife to truly become addicted to WoW. I always knew she would enjoy it because of the types of games she plays and the themes she likes on her reading and movies. I did not expect her to get addicted beyond the level that I play, but I am glad she is having a blast. The interesting part is that she is a better player than most that I have seen, and she will be raid ready probably as soon as she hits 80. Funny thing is that from watching me raid, I think she is looking forward to her first raid, and as soon as she hits 70 I think to Kara we will head.

With the changes coming to the Warlock class, I have to wonder. Since Warlocks will no longer being using soul shards, what is going to happen to the Warlock’s Soul Shard Bag? Will it be converted into a normal bag? Will they be rendered completely useless?
So yeah… the ICC buff went live… and I can tell the difference. Last night we went into ICC 10 and One shot every boss from the citadel to the plagueworks and then Blood Princes. Sure we had killed them all before… even multiple times. But we had new people in this run who hadn’t even seen these fights and we still one shot them.

The Warcraft Econ Hall of Fame is a column featuring the few elite players that have hit the World of Warcraft gold cap of 214,748 gold 36 silver 46 copper. We have with us, Anaalius of Chamber of Aspect-EU, who will be sharing their stories with us today.
Please tell us a little about yourself and your gaming experience.
Hey. My name is Liam and my main is Anaalius, Destruction warlock of the Eu – Chamber of Aspect’s realm Who i have played since i bought the game December of 2008. All the way threw Burning Crusade i was always struggling to even pay my repair bill’s. I didn’t see much use for gold really until i started to buy some crafted gear and wanted to get my epic flying mount, I grinded for these pretty exclusively in the lake just outside of shattrath killing the wyrm’s for mote’s of water. Basically all threw out burning crusade i didn’t have over 10k gold and i was someone that farmed for my gold so i could afford gem’s from my new gear and repairs. When patch 3.0 came out I started to make gold Buying and enchanting Vellum’s.

Every dark cloud has a silver lining. Somehow his announced return for Cataclysm made me forget all about the fact that I can’t even log in right now.

World of Warcraft Mining can be confusing when starting out. Despite this, it’s still one of the best Professions to begin the game with. That inspired me to write a series of articles dedicated to the Mining Profession so that new gamers aren’t confused at the outset. Let’s start out with what skills you get, what secondary Professions are the best when combined with Mining, what gear you need to have, and where to find trainers for the Mining skill. Alright, let’s go.
WoW mining comes with the two additional skills of Smelting and Finding Minerals. You will get to choose a secondary profession, for mining these are the best secondary professions: Blacksmithing, Jewelcrafting, Engineering. These Professions need materials that you can only get through Mining, because of this they make excellent secondary Professions and will help you immediately. Without the Mining Profession you will have to buy the materials and that gets really expensive. Get yourself a Mining Pick.
World of Warcraft is one of the most asked-for games of the 21st century. It was presented to people throughout the world in 2004. It was the year, when the anniversary of the official release of the first chapter of Warcraft series was to be celebrated. People from all corners of the globe were glad to celebrate the date, because it was the date, when the first role-playing came into being. As we all know, this genre won the hearts of millions of people immediately after its appearance. The appearance of the genre of MMORPG, which was deciphered as massive multi-player on-line role-playing game was the second important date in the history of computer games. Two dates took place in the same period, but MMORPG appeared ten years later after the RPG and was fully based on the usage of Internet.

The worst part about Cataclysm is waiting for it, apparently. As part of our weekly ritual, we asked the WoW.com staff what they were up to this weekend, and as a special bonus, what they were doing to prepare for Cataclysm.
Depends on your focus, looks like. Some of us are building profession stockpiles, some of us are building cohesive raid groups, some of us are making sure we get old-world achievements due for a phase-out, and some of us are … just not really playing until Cataclysm. What about you guys? What are your plans for the Waitaclysm?
Our plans, and other personal minutiae, after the break.
Welcome to the Virtual Worlds News Wrap-Up for the week of May 14, 2010. The Wrap-Up is where VWN spotlights stories that we didn’t get to cover individually, but still make for interesting reading about the virtual worlds industry.
- EVE Evolved: It’s Election Time In EVE Online: This May is an election month in the MMO EVE Online, which is famed for the unusually high level of control over the in-game virtual economy that it gives players. Players can be elected to the game’s Council of Stellar Management, which is tasked with directly communicating ideas and the views of the playerbase to EVE’s developer, CCP. Right now 49 players are running for the available seats.
- Gamers Get Intimate Over World Of Warcraft: A new study of player relationships in the Blizzard MMO World of Warcraft suggests that people can and often do form meaningful relationships while interacting through avatars in a virtual world. The study also found evidence that players are inclined to make assumptions about the identity and personality of other players based on the appearance of their avatar.
A {{laptop}} can be a smaller, lighter in weight and more stream-lined version of a desktop computer. It has all you need coming from a desktop computer in one small package. It is a portable desktop thus allowing it to double and also contributed everywhere. This particular timber {{laptop}} very popular nowadays.
Don’t be fooled by the {{laptop}}’s tiny sizing because it possesses several areas. The upper component is a display which is equivalent to a new desktop’s monitor. In more recent types, some sort of webcam will be incorporated in top of the element of the actual {{laptop}}. The reduced portion is how almost all of the the rest are usually. It offers your system board, microprocessor, the particular drive, some sort of Compact disc commute, the laptop keyboard, the touchpad used for navigation plus a substitute for the actual sensitive mouse along with the audio system. Even though World of Warcraft is nearing its 6th birthday, Blizzard’s flagship MMORPG is still the most-subscribed game in the history of mankind. Later this year, they’ll be releasing Cataclysm, the third expansion to the world of Azeroth.
With a late 2010 tentative release, that means that the time for beta testing is drawing near. Soon Blizzard will be starting the closed beta test for Cataclysm, and you can get yourself a chance to participate. If you’ve got a Battle.net account with a World of Warcraft license attached to it, you’re eligible for the beta test. Here’s how to sign up:
- Head over to Battle.net and log into your account.
- Look under the ‘Manage my Games’ option, and click on Beta Profile Settings.
- The Beta Profile Settings page has checkboxes for Diablo, Starcraft, and Warcraft. Go ahead, check them all!
- Click the ‘Update Preferences’ button.
- Once you’ve done all that, look on the right side of the page, and load your system specs using the handy Blizzard tool. This will greatly increase your chances of getting a spot in the beta.
That’s it – shouldn’t take more than 5 or 10 minutes, and you’re all set. Good luck getting selected!

Update: The Nihilum Wiki is currently password-protected, but the mastery information is available here.
The Nihilum Wiki has been making some great discoveries in the Cataclysm alpha client files, including new UI elements, factions, and titles, but here’s some of what we know you really like: math. They’ve broken down how each talent point you spend in a tree will bolster your spec’s three mastery bonuses.
I had initially planned to post a follow up to the previous discussion regarding the raid changes coming in Cataclysm. Indeed, I still intend to follow up on that post and address some of the issues that many brought up in the comments. However, that post isn’t for today. Things have been a bit hectic for me recently (which would explain the sparse updates the last few days that I’m sure many of you noticed), so instead I’d like to address a much lighter topic today. In the most recent episode of The Instance (which I listen to regularly and greatly enjoy despite some of the factual mistakes they tend to make on occasion), Scott and Randy discussed things they intend to accomplish before the release of Cataclysm.
Nexon America has released a bevy of new screenshots showing off Vindictus’ “Fomors” or boss monsters. Players looking to test their mettle will be able to challenge a number of different Fomors in Vindictus, including gigantic polar bears, skeletal princes, and more.

He’s cooking something up, and it sure as heck isn’t a steak.
This is exciting.

From Naxxramas to Icecrown Citadel
Things are getting quiet in the World of Warcraft. Guild chat is quieter, forum conversations are rarer. Bloggers, Lathere and I included, are posting less frequently.
This is the perfect time, at the end of one expansion, to reflect upon that expansion and perhaps even start thinking about the next. One of the questions I found myself considering was:
If you had a fresh group of level 80s ready to raid now, what path of progression would you take them on in order to clear every single Wrath of the Lich King boss?

Thanks to technology, we can interact with people we would never meet in real life. Technology is amazing isn’t it? As much as I do enjoy interacting/networking with people through the various social media platforms (and yes I would include gaming into that category) I’ve always thought it would be a great idea to hang out with local folks in-game.
Over the past few days, I joined a local World of Warcraft guild. Depending on how you look at it that can be very cool, geeky, or getting way too much into your personal space. I go with the cool and geeky aspect since I do think it’s nice to be able to interact with in game and meet up with some of those same folks in real life too. I also think that some of the madness you see when people are hiding behind an avatar is avoided when you do meet in person.
The good people at No Starch Press sent me a review copy of The Guild Leader’s Handbook. It’s written by Scott F. Andrews, a long time guild leader and WoWInsider columnist.
Preliminary Observations
The Handbook is a medium-sided softcover book, about 190 pages in length. It actually looks pretty classy, with just a coat of arms on the front cover. It’s written well, and covers almost all aspects of guild management (save one major exception) in solid detail.

Sometimes its more fun just actually playing a game than actually spending time writing about your time actually playing it, which actually takes you away from the time you could actually be spending playing the game. By A MMO Blogger.

When you find all your characters run out of money and you’re little time to play can be very tempted to buy World of Warcraft gold. This may seem a good option for some people, freeing up your time to attack and play instead of spending time grinding gold. However, the option to buy World of Warcraft gold is not a safe practice, both for safety reasons the accounts and financial risks. Fortunately, there two powerful tools available to ensure that they do not need to buy World of Warcraft gold.
There is one rising issue nowadays for the numerous players of massively multiplayer online role-playing games or MMORPGs, particularly World of Warcraft. Now, there are legal and open transactions elsewhere over selling and buying World of Warcraft accounts. Thus, many gamers, observers and critics argue if buying WoW accounts would be banned or would be allowed to continue. Are such transactions really a boon or a bane? An analysis may not take long to get to conclusions.
Why do some players resort to buying World of Warcraft accounts? To begin with, buying WoW accounts is not illegal. As a matter of fact, it is rapidly popularizing practice nowadays. Buying WoW accounts is like buying any gaming accessory. Buying World of Warcraft accounts is like buying a measure or a tool for winning and accumulating points when playing the game. Doing so is a form of cheat, which in the case of WoW is never a negative issue. Cheats on World of Warcraft refer to legal and accepted activities, more of strategies, that are developed and designed to bring about ideal results and outcomes.

I just don’t know. There are many things to talk about out there if I didn’t already talk about most of them on TNB. We’ve got the RealID stuff. We’ve got the upcoming Ruby Sanctum raid. We’ve got other changes possibly coming in 3.3.5. The, sooner or later, Gnomeregan and Echo Isles pre-Cataclysm events. We’ve got the Official Cataclysm preview drips and drabs coming out of Blizzard. And.. We’ve got all the hubbub about the leaks posted by MMO-Champion and now subsequently removed.
Now.. I could have linked to all of those things in that paragraph, but if you haven’t already heard about them all a million times, then you are not trying very hard..

Blizzard have released some details on the upcoming Cataclysm changes to professions. Nothing too major here, and they’ve yet to announce the specifics of Reforging (which will let certain professions change the stats on items), so stay tuned for that.
One thing of interest: Dense Embersilk Bandage heals 34,800 hp over 8 seconds. Compare that to WotLK’s Heavy Frostweave Bandage, which heals 5,800 over 8 seconds. That’s a pretty big increase in healing.
Nowadays, computer games are the most popular way to kill the time and have fun among people of all ages. People understood that computer games were a perfect way to entertain themselves in the beginning of the last decade of the 20th century. It was the time, when people could not even imagine that such game as Warcraft I could ever come into being. They were playing primitive computer games, which were installed into their operating systems. Those games were everything people could want at that time, because computers were not available to all people all over the world. They were expensive and useless for home usage and people could not even dream of them.
I don’t think there are too many people who would disagree with me if I say Warcraft is mostly about problem solving and achievement. It’s not your ordinary game where the goal is to kill everything in sight as fast as you can. You must develop a method of play; you must analyze each scenario and expect that it will take multiple attempts to achieve your desired goal. If you are a person who gets frustrated this is not the type of game for you.
With that said, it’s very important that all players utilize and contribute to people who are trying to solve or achieve the same goals. After all, if you have a question or a problem, chances are you are not the only one with the same issue. It’s very rewarding to know that you solved a problem all by yourself, but it’s even more rewarding when you solved it in a group of people.
I finally wrote a guide about Survival Huntering and how to do the most damage versus boss NPCs in scripted dungeon encounters. Being that it’s been my primary raid spec for several months now, it’s ironic that I’d never provided an overview of Survival for raiding.
Well, the wait is over. Check it.
Since Cataclysm is looming on the horizon, it’s not a full-blown exhaustive article on raiding as a Survival hunter, but rather a concise and just the facts ma’am type of thing. I’ll be re-doing my BM and MM guides over shortly, as they be in need of updatage. They’ll be in a similar format.
Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello mentioned that a “major new massively multiplayer online game” would not be shipping within EA’s 2011 fiscal year, which ends on March 31st, according to a report by Joystiq. EA CFO Eric Brown later confirmed that Star Wars: The Old Republic is “not included in our FY11 release slate.”

Sony Pictures Animation has picked up the rights to the game, which was published by Atari and has been quite the hit amongst more casual gamers.
It’ll be a combination of live-action and animation, will be written by David Ronn and Jay Scherick (The Zookeeper), with Atari’s Jim Wilson an executive producer and Harald Zwart – the man behind the Karate Kid remake – hoping to direct.

Anyways, while engineering is an amazing profession for certain parts of the game, it’s dead last when it comes to making money. There are only really a few things engineers can do to make cash.
Wryxian
In general, we want Engineering to remain a tradeskill mainly focused on creating fun or useful gadgets for the engineer, but we are exploring options for items that can be sold to other players for profit.
This quote was from the Cataclysm profession preview we posted about earlier. Engineering is currently barely ahead of farming in terms of income potential, and it’s nice to see that Blizzard acknowledges this and might fix it.
Not all hope is lost, though. A savvy player can eak out a living if they focus on the right markets. First off, the elephant in the room: selling epic ammo.

Back at the beginning of April, we were treated to the Cataclysm preview for all of the classes. Many people were excited, some were disappointed, but everyone had news to digest. This past week has seen the Cataclysm friends and family alpha start and since then, we have seen a plethora of leaks: everything from images of the changes to old zones and new instances up to some data-mined information about female worgen. Needless to say, it has been a pretty busy week.

Well yes, I have a blog, mentor yung’uns I encounter now and then and meanwhile try to get my raiding together (which is hard, since as of this weekend my PC chose to write me a suicide note and go quietly into the electronic afterlife)…but there’s more!
World of Warcraft Official Magazine
First off, I managed to get a great opportunity to write a column for the offical World of Warcraft magazine, which is not only a great way to get my writing across to many interested people, but also give me an introduction into the goings-on of magazine writing, editing and internal communication. It’s been quite a blast, it’s a damn shame it’s already done, because I have a million more pieces like this to write, and they’re not always fitting with the theme of Twisted Faith.

Alien’s Meet to Discuss Immigration
I feel really bad about being so late. Today’s post really should have been “Today’ and not tonight. And like I always try to do, I wanted to make a new them and call today Technology Tuesday!
What’s Technology Tuesday? Well it’s the day where I look around at some of the cool technology that’s out there getting ready to shape our world. You know, like does someone actually have a hover board hidden in their garage?
Or maybe, there’s really a secret Skynet being developed and only one poor soul has the presence of mind to give us some advanced warning.

After looking over the submitted ideas for the Celestial Steed Mount Contest, I determined lawman’s made the most sense. All of your ideas were interesting, but lawman’s I felt was practical and creative.
I think coordinating in-game activities is great, if you have the time, but there’s no way I can swing something like that. I like the scavenger hunt, taming missions, etc… but I didn’t want to hold a contest where there was a “race” so to speak. Maybe I’ll do something like that later on, but for now I like the essay contest.
Given the fact that you are perusing the pages of a website solely focused on the MMORPG genre, I will accept that you undoubtedly have a love of this addictive, opiate like, social life consuming, bone chillingly brilliant entertainment source. From World of Warcraft through to Eve Online, this is a genre that devours our free time with reckless abandon; its depth is our undoing, its many facets of game play- our mistress. My personal love affair with MMORPGs started with the game EverQuest at the turn of millennium; since then I have enjoyed the grind, the questing, the exploring, the player battling- I have joyously reveled at it all except for one element; an element in the very title of the genre; an element almost intrinsic to the experience: Role-playing.
Name: World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Release date: December 14, 2009 Platform(s): PC and Mac OS X Publisher: Activision Blizzard Developer: Activision Blizzard

If you are new to playing World of Warcraft and still in the early teen levels, you probably can’t help noticing how much better off other players at your level appear to be. Dressed in fine robes, armor and loaded with gear they strut around Stormwind or Orgrimmar as if they own the place. You can’t help feeling out of place in your crumpled shorts and dusty leather jerkin. Now the difference between you and these guys, friend, is that they have learnt the secret to making easy wow gold and you haven’t.
Now the key to playing World of Warcraft with any degree of skill are twofold: learn to level faster and learn the secrets to making gold fast. That way you can shop on the Auction House for all the best gear, bags and potions which will allow you to speed through the early levels and on to your first mount.
Yes, the title of this post is shamelessly stolen both from David Bowie and Jim Butcher’s latest Dresden Files installment. Butcher, by the way, is my favorite current fiction author, and he must be doing something right as his last several books have all topped the NYT bestseller list upon release.
However, the Changes referred to here, of course, are all about the the Cataclysm looming on our Wow horizon.
If you haven’t seen some of the changes planned for the next expasion, start at MMO-Champion.com. For class-specific info, there’s quite a bit at Elitist Jerks, as usual. Consider’s unholy thread at EJ has links to his alpha involvement and the Cata EJ discussion threads.
If you do not know who Frank Frazetta is, it will not take long to learn about him. He was an American artist best known for his depictions of Conan The Barbarian. For some, Frank’s work was as much a part of Conan as Robert E. Howards writing. His other major character, The Death Dealer has remained a classic fantasy image for several generations now. His work in comics and book covers remains some of the most memorable and thousands of artists were influenced by him. It is a sad day to see such talent leave this world.

Happy Tuesday Morning, everyone! As you’re probably aware, the family and friends alpha test of Cataclysm went up early last week. While there’s still a Non-Disclosure Agreement on the whole thing, that hasn’t stopped a lot of enterprising people from getting their hands on the client and disseminating all manner of information to the WoW community at large. I wouldn’t say the leaks are coming out in a torrent quite yet, but there’s still some pretty juicy stuff if you know where to find it.

I was thinking that maybe on Monday’s I’d participate in my own version of the Twitter Hashtag #MM or #MusicMonday. Why not right? Everyone likes a bit of music in their day right?
Today on Music Monday I have a video by one of my favorite new artists, Jason Eawald. Filmed at a club in New York City he performs Electric. Following the in the same vain of Bore Me, Electric has a great blues rift with enough funk to keep your foot tapping. And before long you’ll find yourself starting to sing “It’s Electric.. It’s Electric… It’s Electric..” along with Jason.

You probably know Michele Boyd as “Riley” of The Guild, the so-called “stupid tall hot girl” who’s into FPS and is a ranked Halo player. Now, get to know Michele as a WoW player and gamer in her own right. Does she game with her cast-mates from The Guild? What’s she playing right now? What about work? After all that, does she ever feel “gamed” out? WoW.com’s 15 Minutes of Fame gives you an inside view with this exclusive interview with Michele, chatting about how she blends The Guild (the show) with her guild (in game).

Anyone else notice something peculiar lately?
I first noticed it in Dalaran, where the Flight Master at Krasus Landing had a doppelganger standing right next to him. Or, more correctly, exactly where he was standing, noticeable only when one moved and the other didn’t.
Or, as in the case of the Goblins below, one jumped out and the other stood still..

THE GAME IS WORKING 100% IN SINGLE PLAYER MODE BUT YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CONNECT TO BATTLENET! I DON’T KNOW ABOUT GARENA, HAVEN’T TESTED IT…
Reign of Chaos summary,
The game will be focused on groups of noble warriors supporting mighty, Legendary Heroes, each of whom can advance and become more powerful as the game progresses. These Heroes are the central focus of the single-player game. Four linked campaigns – featuring the Humans, Undead, Orcs and Night Elves – together form the story of the day the sky rained fire and war once again swept the battered lands of Azeroth. Players first take the role of Arthas, Paladin and crown prince of Lordaeron, as he investigates an uprising of Orcs and rumors of a plague sweeping the northern end of the kingdom. As the single-player game advances, the story moves on to other races, with each campaign picking up where the previous one left off. Heroes of other races appear throughout the campaigns, many times as allies, yet other times as enemies. “It’s very exciting to return to the Warcraft series,” stated Mike Morhaime, president and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment. “We’re very proud of what we’ve accomplished with this game and we look forward to welcoming a new generation of gamers to Blizzard’s first PC game world.” Warcraft III immerses players in a compelling, dynamic 3D world of incredible depth and detail. Daunting monsters roam a landscape filled with neutral towns, strongholds, and temples, while stunning environmental effects bring the world to life. The game includes a robust campaign editor for creating custom 3D maps and unique missions, with scripts for units, spells, and action-packed events.

Apple iPad Running World of Warcraft

David Perry, founder of Shiny Entertainment, uploaded this image of World of Warcraft running on an Apple iPad, or is it? Unfortunately, it’s just a “prototype version of his browser-based streaming service working on an iPad.” Video after the break.
“All iPad inputs are streamed through a translation system to the server, so we can re-map anything to anything in real-time. We hide a virtual keyboard off to the side, so you can type as well (like to login).”
The headbangin’ source of the Twitter exploit
This one just makes me smile.
The infamous Twitter exploit that made it possible to force people to follow you wasn’t the work of nefarious hackers in Russia or Eastern Europe, it was simply a metalhead speaking in Internet slang.
It started when a Turkish fan issued a blog post (here in Turkish. Google Translate does a reasonable job) on a strange bug he’d found on Twitter. He meant to write “accept pwnz,” a reference to the long-running German metal band Accept, and to his surprise, found that @pwnz was following him.

Blog Azeroth Shared Topic: Best/Worst Towns
Thanks to this week’s Blog Azeroth Shared Topic for giving me an excuse to share my love of Undercity.

know it’s turning up on many folks’ worst lists but I have loved the Undercity since my first trip there as a very wee undead priest back in the day.
I love the overall Tim Burtonesque feel as I wander through the halls. I love that it’s on a circular grid, making it easier to get to where you are going than Orgrimmar for instance.
It’s a place that feels truly entrenched in the lore. Much like the Plage Lands. One of my favorite plague quests sends you back to talk to Royal Overseer Bauhaus(squee for a shout out to one of my favorite bands ever), the census taker, to try to find a restless ghost’s next of kin, who turns out to be the poor sad cockroach vendor, Jeremiah.

An Online Thief Spent $100 Of My Money On World Of Warcraft
Amanda says someone managed to nab her credit card info and tried to stick her with $500 in World of Warcraft charges. Most of the charges didn’t go through, but she remained $100 in the hole until she got a refund. It’s enough to make someone want to go on a Death Knight rampage.
Happy Mother’s Day!

Today’s Mother’s Day and as a mom I do have a lot to be grateful for…I have a fabulous daughter. She’s the best Mother’s day gift I could have received even if she arrived several days later. But, she was born in the month of May so that counts right?
My life did a complete 360 after she hit the scene, and you know something? I travelled a lot with business and did a lot of personal travel too. I was rarely home. My aquaintances were shocked when I changed certain aspects of my life after my daughter hit the scene. My friends, knew better since they know I’ll do a lot for those I care about and I cared about her even when she was camping out in my ever growing belly.

First post on Examiner.com, one more step towards living a dream

As probably all of you know, I recently was accepted to write for Examiner.com. And tonight I posted up my very first post for them!
It maybe no real big deal but I’m excited. Besides being able to maybe earn a little extra money on the side. What I’m really excited about is, writing for Examiner.com qualifies for “Publishing Experience.”
Now, why is that a good thing?
Because in Los Angeles you need to have published for three “Qualified” outlets in order to qualify for your official Press Credentials. And I now officially have 2 out of 3 down! (WoW.com is one and now Examiner.com is number two.)
What hunter pets would you like to see tamable?

Nethaera posted a call for feedback on hunter pets on the official forums:
Nethaera:
We’re looking to get some feedback on the types of pets that hunters would like to be able to tame and the types of abilities that might be interesting for those pets to have. Is there a type of creature in the game now that you would like to be able to tame or an ability that you’ve always thought should be added? Here’s your chance to share a bit more about what you think could be great additions for the hunter class.

You know… just like in real life sometimes your online buddies will do things that surprise the heck out of you. (In a good way!)
Imagine my surprise when Kaozz announced she was back in Azeroth. I stumbled upon Kaozz’s blog a while ago, and have been an avid follower ever since. I really enjoy her writing style, humor, and love her take on the games she plays.
SC2 Beta invite update
Seems as if my issue may be Mac-specific.
Here’s a thread in the official Blizzard Forums started by another person questioning the legitimacy of the e-mail.
Here’s the blue response:
Thank you for providing us with the header, Thewilly. This is a legitimate invitation; however, it appears as if the game was not properly applied to your account. Accordingly, I encourage you to e-mail beta.accountsupport@us.battle.net letting them know so that they can help get you into the Beta as soon as possible

Call for submissions: Keeping the guild together

The fallow times are upon us. Your guild has cleared Icecrown Citadel, or at least the end is in sight. Guild members are growing restless, uncertain if they’re up to logging in to farm epics in the face of no further content to use it in. Guilds who’ve been slower making the climb are having a harder and harder time finding raiders willing to commit to the final stretch. Everyone’s worried how the expansion’s changes to raid drops and incentives are going to affect the guild’s motivation and team spirit. The community is holding its collective breath, waiting for Cataclysm …
Ready Check: Trading up from 10 to 25

With all of the officially announced changes to emblems and raid sizes, it seems like the day of 25-man dominance is nearly over. Sure, from what we know, 25-man raids will continue to provide the best path to getting fully geared the most quickly. However, you will no longer be forced to raid 25-man to get your various best-in-slot gear.
I’ve always been a bit agnostic when it comes to raid size. I tend to do both versions, because I want to put out the best performance possible for my raid and friends. In the current game, the best performances comes from 25-man gear. Even if you have the one or two best-in-slot pieces in 10-man fights, I don’t think anyone can realistically claim 10-man gear is as effective as 25-man kits.

2012 Doom » Can A World Of Warcraft Guide Actually Level Me Fast?
World of warcraft is an online role-playing game where you immerse yourself in the new found world for a character you create. One of the integral parts of the game requires a player to level up in order to acquire new skills, and find items which are required to complete newer quests.
But with so much importance on leveling up in order to enjoy the endgame aspects, it’s easy for players to get confused along the way which ultimately slows their progress. This is where a world of warcraft guide comes in handy.
