Blizzard is all about the contests these days, and that’s pretty awesome. The newest contest is the Cataclysm Dungeon Screenshot Contest, where players can enter screenshots of their most amazing or favorite dungeon moments and win Cataclysm prize packages worth over $ 450, with prizes from Steelseries and Jinx!

For this contest, you’re going to need to post your dungeon screenshots to the Steelseries or JINX! Facebook pages. The contest ends on Feb. 4, so get cracking.

Players often immortalize their most amazing in-game moments with a screenshot. Now you can share your favorite Cataclysm dungeon moment with the world and win epic loot from SteelSeries and J!NX in the process! Are you a regular reader of Reader UI of the Week, WoW Insider’s community user interface column all about showcasing your very own interface creations? Well, you should join the multitudes of other people who have already sent in their creations. I get a lot of submissions to Reader UI of the Week, and sometimes the whole business gets pretty clogged up and people’s stuff get lost in the wilderness. So, I’m putting out another big call for user submissions for Reader UI of the Week. You can even send in your UI to ask for help on how to make the whole thing just a little bit nicer.

Here are some guidelines to follow for submitting your user interface:

• Wordy is good. Talk about your user interface and why you made your interface decisions. You put the map in the center of the screen, covering your character — we can clearly see that. But why? We want to know!
• Bigger is better for images. .Jpgs are best; .png works. But remember, the bigger the better.
• Keys help. Show us where you put each addon in an image or a text key. People love replicating UIs and taking ideas from one another. This helps everyone out. Some of the best innovations have come from iteration — just ask Blizzard!
• List your addons. Let us know what addons you use, and maybe give us a little bit of insight as to why you like that addon. People get pretty defensive about their addon preferences, so stand up and fight for your mans.
• Raid screenshots help, if you’re a raider. Not everyone raids, so don’t feel like it is absolutely necessary to include a screenshot while raiding. However, a lot of people do like to see screenshots during a raid, so indulge if you’d like.

We have a wonderful community of diehard commenters in Reader UI of the Week, and the amount of submissions and suggestions that I get show how dedicated you guys are to helping each other out.

The new expansion is officially here! Generally speaking, the launch of a new expansion heralds the arrival of a lot of new players — and the return of players that haven’t picked up the game in quite some time. I had a friend of mine confess that he’d like to get back into roleplaying now that the new expansion has launched — he lost touch with it somewhere during the Wrath raiding frenzy.

But the same question applies to players that are brand new, and players that have returned to the game after an extended absence — just how do you get into RP again, after you’ve been away? Better yet, how does a new roleplayer get involved with roleplay? What’s the best way to get yourself set up for it, when you’ve never tried it before? What do you do when the population of the roleplay server of your choice is likely full of people that have already been roleplaying together for years? How does a returning player find a good roleplay server to start with?

Every week, WoW Insider brings you The Light and How to Swing It for holy, protection and retribution paladins. Every Sunday, Chase Christian invites you to discuss the finer side of the paladin class: the holy specialization. Feel free to email me with any questions you want answered, like how awesome Exorcism is.

Paladins have always been a flexible class. Our hybrid nature is one of our greatest strengths, and it gives us a variety of ways to solve any problem. We can use our raw might to crush our enemies, we can defend ourselves from our opponents’ onslaught, and we can save our friends from certain death. The massive class changes in Cataclysm have brought us another role to fill — that of the avenging cleric. We can now use our holy nature to cleanse Azeroth of evil (and the opposing faction).

Holy paladins are lucky enough to have two different roles they can fill with the same set of gear, and this gives us a great opportunity to be flexible while leveling. You can easily queue for the new dungeons while also churning your way through quests, maximizing your experience gain. With the new Light of Dawn at our fingertips, healing groups in dungeons is nearly painless. A shockadin build also allows us to wreak havoc upon our enemies — and quite efficiently, too. How can we utilize these two halves of the spec to create the best leveling experience?

Along with new zones, new dungeons, new raids, and new levels, Cataclysm is bringing us eight new reputations (four of which are Alliance- or Horde-only). Each of these new groups offer different rewards at different reputation levels, and of course, we have new arcanum helm enchants and new shoulder enchants.

Most of these new reputations also offer tabards at friendly rep that you can use to gain reputation while running heroics. Join us after the cut for a rundown of all the new reputations available in Cataclysm, what zones you’ll need to go to to gain rep with them, where to find their quartermasters, and what rewards they have to offer.
